In an era defined by rapid technological advancements, education is undergoing a profound transformation. The integration of innovative educational technologies is reshaping how students learn, how educators teach, and how institutions prepare learners for an ever-changing future. As digital tools and platforms advance, they offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance teaching, research, and practice across diverse educational contexts. By focusing on nurturing 21st-century skills, cultivating futures literacy, and enhancing digital competencies, educational technology plays a vital role in equipping students with the abilities needed to thrive in a complex, digital world.
The HKAECT International Conference 2026 invites scholars, educators, and researchers to submit presentation proposals (500 words) and full papers (10–20 pages) that explore the revolutionary impact of Edtech on education, including but not limited to:
- Innovative Edtech applications in classroom and remote learning, including AI-driven tools and adaptive learning systems;
- The role of technology in fostering collaboration, engagement, and motivation among learners;
- The transformative role of GenAI in personalised learning, content creation, and educational innovation;
- Nurturing and assessing students' 21st century skills, futures literacy, and digital skills through technology to prepare them for emerging challenges;
- Leveraging evidence-based data analytics to inform teaching practices, curriculum design, and student assessment;
- The influence of Edtech on teacher professional development and institutional strategies for educational improvement;
- Ethical considerations and challenges in educational technology, including data privacy, digital wellbeing, and algorithmic bias;
We encourage submissions from scholars and researchers in various fields, including education, communication, social sciences, and humanities. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as case studies, policy analyses, and critical reviews.
Submission Details
Presentation Abstract Submissions (Deadline: 1 February 2026 28 February 2026)
The Conference welcomes 500-word extended abstracts. In the abstracts, you should clearly state research objectives, research questions, hypotheses (if any), research methods, findings, and implications/contributions. To ensure academic quality, all abstracts will go through a blind peer-review process. Subject to authors' successful registrations to the Conference, accepted abstracts will be included in a conference program booklet, and you will be invited to make presentations at the Conference. The maximum number of an author's submissions is two, irrespective of whether he or she is the first author of each manuscript or not.
Post-Conference Book Full Paper Submissions (Deadline: 31 December 2025)
For English Manuscripts: Accepted abstracts for presentations are invited to extend into a full paper. Submissions of your manuscripts in 10-20 pages should be uploaded to the Oxford Abstracts portal. All full papers submitted will be subject to a blind peer-review process. Upon acceptance, and subject to authors' successful revision based on the reviewers' comments, your manuscripts will be included in a new volume under the Educational Communications and Technology Yearbook series to be published by Springer and indexed by Scopus.
